Grand Boys Hand Over £6000 in 2011
The Grand Boys handed over this large sum on 3rd December 2011 at our charity shop in Bannockburn. Although it was a tough year for everyone financially we still managed to buck the trend and donate a considerable amount to various charities and worthy causes. A big thanks goes to all the volunteers in the shop and to the people who continue to donate furniture and of course to all our custormers who frequent the shop and make donations for the goods. Also thanks to The Grand Boys Band members who continue to give their time and talents to help other people. A new 16 track CD entitled ‘Keys to the Door’ will be out soon to mark our acheivement of reaching 21 years.
A large crowd gathered at the shop to see the presentations of cheques and enjoy the music and hospitality. The two local Primary Schools, St Mary’s and Bannockburn received £300 each and provided a lovely joint carol singing set. It was a very successful day and the fundraising will continue in 2012.
